Saturday catch up

Hello dear friends,

I hope you are having a lovely day.

I had a lovely long lie in this morning.

I got up and did a load of washing and put the dishwasher on. I then had a chat with my daughter about how we need to sort out her bedroom and get rid of her broken bed and put the bed that my thirteen year old currently using into her room and give him the bed that my eldest son sleeps on.

My eldest son is at university and often stays at his dads house as it is closer, he normally stays here two or three nights a week. I have spoken to him about swapping the beds around and he is fine with that. He is happy to sleep on the sofa bed for the time being until I can sort out a new bed.

My daughter was very up for sorting out her room and has spent most of the day going through her toys deciding what she wants to keep and what she wants to get rid of.

I think it will probably take a couple of days to fully sort this out but I am currently very proud that she is putting so much effort into sorting and tidying her stuff.  She is happy for me to sell or throw away anything that she no longer wants.

I intend to wash her carpet, which is filthy, she really could do with a new one but that won't be happening in the near future.

Take all the clothes out of her wardrobe and hoover her wardrobe out. She has a lot of new clothes from Christmas so I will pull out anything that is too small and either sell or throw them depending on there condition.

Wash her walls and see if they come up clean, if not, I will at some point in the near future have to paint her room.

I will also wash her carpet, lightshade and the outside of the wardrobe and drawers.

She is not aware yet, but about a year ago in the sales I bought her some new curtains, duvet cover and throw for her room. They are very pretty and I'm sure when she see's them she will be delighted.

I also took my eight year old to Costa as I promised for doing very well at school for the second week in a row.

He had a Pepsi and a blueberry muffin, I had a chocolate babycino and a chocolate twist. I had enough money on my Costa card so this cost me nothing. A free lunch with my sweet boy, I couldn't think of anything nicer.

My son and I then went to Aldi to do the weekly shop, but we went to get a trolley and I didn't have a £1.00 coin to get one. I hate that!
So my son and I had to get as much shopping as we could manage in a basket and our hands.

This is what we managed to get and the cost was £29.70. The more I am shopping at Aldi the more impressed I am becoming with the price and the quality of their products. I will definitely be returning to Aldi this week to finish our shop. We managed to buy our breakfast stuff, drinks, ham for lunches, lots of apples, chicken breasts, rice and lots of Naan bread for curries for today and tomorrows dinner together with weekend treats for the children and a few storecupboard essentials.

Well tomorrow hopefully, I can show you some updated photo's of my daughters bedroom and I should be able to put some items on either Facebook sales, Ebay or both.

Have a lovely evening and take care xx

The chocolate twist looks yummy, me and hubby have never been in Costa! I'm in the middle of a makeover for our bathroom and change from £50, post coming soon :-)
